Technical Consultant
Location: Gateshead
Technology consultant required to join the North East's leading and multi-award winning IT services provider. You will be based at Gateshead with the option of home working where appropriate.
Reporting to the head of Technology, you will be predominantly responsible for designing and provisioning solutions for the Onyx Cloud IAAS offering. Technical consultancy and 3rd level support within the services division will also play an important part of the role. There will also be an occasional requirement to travel to national and international client sites.
We're looking for an experienced individual with solid skills in supporting complex virtualisation, storage, networking and Windows server technologies to an advanced level. A full, preferably clean, UK driving license is essential. Accreditation in the above and skills with Citrix products would also be advantageous. The salary range on offer is dependent on expertise, experience and certification. Applicants should have at least 3 years commercial exposure in a senior support and (or) consulting role. Applications are invited from candidates who can demonstrate and reference, an excellent track record of the following:-
- New Business Sales of High Quality Managed IT Services, IT Outsource Contracts, and related projects to regulated organisations in our target markets
- Sale Solution value of £100k to £500k, some to £1m+
- Proven record of exceeding target for 3 to 5 years
- Demonstrate a progressive increase in target, currently circa £0.75m to £1.5m
- Expertise, contacts and knowledge in one or more key target markets
- Financial Services:- Hedge Funds, VCs, Private Equity, Brokers
- Professional Services:- Legal Practices, Accountancy Practices, Family Wealth Funds, Estate Agents
- Gravitas, market and technical knowledge to open, lead, and close a sale, typically to COO, CFO, CIO
- Professionally trained in a recognised sales process (eg SPIN, TAS, Miller Heiman)
- Ability to professionally develop and manage a Pipeline
- Gravitas and confidence to periodically present to the Onyx Board, frequently to Directors
- Desire and drive to succeed in an exciting and growing Company
- Desire to be Sales Director within 1 to 3 years
